    Start at the center of Mekele, at the main square (Mekele Meskel Square). From there, head southeast on the main road (Adigrat Road). Walk for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with a road on your left. Turn left at this intersection. Continue on this road for about 2 kilometers. You will pass local shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Daniel Korkor Monastery. After you pass a small market, you will see a well-marked path leading up the hill towards the monastery. Follow this path, which has a slight incline. The hike will take about 20-30 minutes. The monastery is located on a rocky outcrop, and you will be able to see it as you approach.
