    If you're traveling by car from Archipelago National Park, head northeast on Route 1 (E18). Continue for approximately 80 km until you reach the intersection with Route 6. Merge onto Route 6 and drive for about 100 km. Take the exit onto Route 23 towards Ilomantsi. Follow this road for around 30 km until you arrive at Petkeljärventie. Turn left onto Petkeljärventie and continue about 5 km to reach the entrance of Petkeljärvi National Park, located at Petkeljärventie 61, 82900 Ilomantsi. Note that parking is available at the park entrance.

    For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from a nearby town in Archipelago National Park to Joensuu. The bus journey may take approximately 2 to 3 hours. From Joensuu, transfer to a bus heading to Ilomantsi. This leg of the trip will take about 1 hour.
