From downtown Jacksonville, take the JTA bus route 10 (the '10' bus) towards the 'Beaches'. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Fort Caroline Rd and Mt Pleasant Rd. From there, walk east on Mt Pleasant Rd for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Theodore Roosevelt Area at Timucuan Preserve, located at 13165 Mt Pleasant Rd. Follow the signs along the road leading you to the entrance of the preserve.

Head towards the Timucuan Preserve by following the bike paths that connect to the First Coast Highway.
