Getting There

Cable Car
The final approach to the Pic du Midi is exclusively via the Téléphérique du Pic du Midi from La Mongie. From Bagnères-de-Bigorre, take the D918 road to La Mongie (approximately 25 km). Several free parking areas are available in La Mongie for cars, camping cars and buses. From the parking area, walk to the cable car station. Purchase a round-trip ticket, which includes access to the summit, museum, Histopad, and the Ponton in the Sky. In summer 2025, the cost is expected to be around €53 for adults and €42 for children under 18. The cable car departs every 15 minutes, with a 15 minute ride to the top. Note that there is an interruption of the cable car service between 12:30 and 14:00. Check the official website for the most up-to-date schedule and to book tickets in advance, which is highly recommended.
