Start at any U-Bahn station in Munich. If you're near the city center, head to the Marienplatz station. Take the U6 line towards Klinikum Großhadern. Get off at the Sendlinger Tor station, which is about 2 stops from Marienplatz. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the tram stop and take Tram 16 or 17 towards Leuchtenbergring. Get off at the stop called 'Isartor.' From there, walk east along the Isar river for about 10 minutes until you reach Große Isar, located along the riverbank.
