Walking
If you are in the Old Town of Chania, head towards the Venetian Harbor. From there, follow the main waterfront road towards the west until you reach the bus station (Ktel). It’s about a 15-minute walk. Once you are at the bus station, buy a ticket for Rethymno, which is approximately 1 hour away. The bus will take you directly to Rethymno. Get off at the last stop in Rethymno, which is near the Old Town. From there, walk towards the main square (Plateia 25is Martiou) and head east towards Αγ. Φραγκίσκου street for about 10 minutes. The Archaeological Museum of Rethymnon will be on your left.

Public Transport
From Chania, take the local Ktel bus from the central bus station located near the Old Town. The buses to Rethymno depart frequently throughout the day. Once you board the bus, enjoy the scenic ride, which takes about one hour. Upon arriving in Rethymno, get off at the main bus terminal. The Archaeological Museum of Rethymnon is about a 15-minute walk from the bus terminal. Exit the bus terminal and head towards the Old Town. Continue walking straight until you reach the main square (Plateia 25is Martiou), then turn right onto Αγ. Φραγκίσκου street. The museum will be on your left side.

Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi to take you from Chania to Rethymno. Taxis are available throughout Chania, and you can find them near the central bus station or call one from your accommodation. The taxi ride will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Rethymno, ask the driver to drop you off at Αγ. Φραγκίσκου street. The Archaeological Museum of Rethymnon will be a short walk from there.
