Bus
From Chania, head to the main bus station located at 1866 Square. Purchase a ticket to Rethimno, which is about a 1-hour ride. Board the bus heading to Rethimno. Once you arrive at the Rethimno bus station, exit the station and head straight towards the Old Town area. You will see signs directing you to the Old Town. It's about a 15-minute walk from the bus station.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Chania. Simply tell the driver that you want to go to Rethimno's Old Town (Παλιά Πόλη Ρεθύμνου). The journey will take approximately 1 hour, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before you start your journey.
Walking
If you are situated near the waterfront in Chania, you can take a leisurely walk along the harbor. Walk towards the east and follow the coastline until you reach the bus station. From there, board the bus to Rethimno as described above. This walk will allow you to enjoy the beautiful views of the sea and the Venetian harbor.
