Bus
From Chania's central bus station (Ktel Chania), take a bus to Kissamos. The bus ride takes about 45-60 minutes. Once you arrive in Kissamos, ask for directions to Balos Beach, or follow signs towards the port. From there, you may need to take a small boat to reach the beach itself, as it is not directly accessible from the mainland.
Taxi
You can take a taxi from anywhere in Chania directly to Balos Beach. It’s recommended to negotiate the fare beforehand, as the ride may take about 1 to 1.5 hours. The driver will take you to the port where you can catch a boat to the beach.
Walking (If near Kissamos)
If you are already in Kissamos, you can walk to the port where boats depart for Balos Beach. From the center of Kissamos, follow the signs towards the waterfront, and you will find the boat operators near the harbor. This is about a 15-minute walk.
