From Heraklion city center, head to the main bus station (KTEL) located at 1, 1866 Square. Purchase a ticket to Anogia, the nearest village to the Idaean Cave. Buses leave regularly, and the journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Anogia, ask the driver to drop you off at the stop for the Idaean Cave. From the bus stop, follow the signs to the cave, which is about a 20-minute walk uphill.
