Getting There

    From Heraklion, head to the Central Bus Station (KTEL) located at 1866 Square. Purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Agios Nikolaos or a direct bus to Psichro (if available). The bus ride will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Get off at the Psichro stop.

    After disembarking, follow the signs towards the village of Psichro. The Cave of Zeus is about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop. As you walk, you will enjoy scenic views of the surrounding mountains. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path may be uneven.

    Once you reach the entrance of the cave area, you will need to hike uphill. The path is well-marked, and the hike will take around 30 minutes. Follow the signs for 'Cave of Zeus' (Dikteon Cave) along the trail. The views from the top are stunning, and you will see the cave entrance ahead.
