Bus
From the central bus station in Heraklion (KTEL), take a bus heading towards Rethymno. Make sure to check the bus schedule, as they may vary. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Get off at the Melidoni stop. From there, follow the signs for Melidoni Cave, which is about a 10-minute walk.
Taxi
You can easily find a taxi in Heraklion. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Melidoni Cave, located in Melidoni, Rethymni. The taxi ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure to agree on the fare beforehand or request the meter to be used.
Walking
If you are near the center of Heraklion, you can walk to the bus station (KTEL). Start from Lions Square (the main square) and head southeast towards 25th August Street. Continue straight until you reach the bus station. From there, take the bus as described above.
