From Heraklion, head to the central bus station (KTEL). You can catch a bus to Agios Nikolaos, which runs frequently throughout the day. Ask the staff for the latest schedule. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride that takes about 40 minutes. Your stop is at Vrachasi. Upon arrival, exit the bus and head towards the village center. From there, look for signs directing you to Milatos Cave.

Once you reach Vrachasi, you can choose to walk to Milatos Cave. It's approximately a 2 km walk. Start at the village square and follow the signs towards Milatos. The path is well-marked and will take you through beautiful landscapes. As you walk, you'll be able to enjoy the serene surroundings, making this a pleasant stroll.
