    From the center of Heraklion, start at the Liondaria (Lions Square). Head east towards 25th August Street, which is a pedestrian street. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach the junction with Arkadiou Street. Turn right onto Arkadiou Street and walk for about 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance of the Municipal Garden. Enter the garden and follow the paths to the northwest corner where you will find the path leading up to the grave of Nikos Kazantzakis, located on a hill within the gardens.
