Bus
From the center of Heraklion, head to the bus station located at 2 Odos 1821. Look for the KTEL bus service that goes to Agios Nikolaos, as it will stop near Moni Kardiotissis. Purchase a ticket from the kiosk or the driver. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride for about 30-40 minutes. When you reach the stop for Moni Kardiotissis, disembark and follow the signs toward the monastery, which is approximately a 10-minute walk uphill.
Taxi
You can easily hail a taxi from anywhere in Heraklion. Simply tell the driver you want to go to 'Παναγία Κερά Πεδιάδος' or 'Moni Kardiotissis'. The ride should take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Taxis are a convenient option for those who prefer a direct route.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and enjoy walking, you can trek from the center of Heraklion to Moni Kardiotissis. Start at the Morosini Fountain in the main square, and walk along 25th August Street until you reach the outskirts of the city. Continue straight toward the village of Kardiotissa, a distance of approximately 10 kilometers. It will take around 2-3 hours, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
