Bus
From the center of Heraklion, head to the central bus station located at 13 Karterou Street. Look for the bus heading to Zaros, which is usually marked on the front. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Zaros, you will need to walk to Zaros Lake. Exit the bus, and head straight down the main road (Epar.Od. Heraklion - Moires) for about 500 meters. You will see signs for Zaros Lake. Follow the signs until you reach the lake.
Taxi
If you'd prefer to take a taxi, you can find taxis at various points in the city, particularly around the central square. Inform the driver that you want to go to Zaros Lake (Techniti Limni Votomos). The ride will take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off near the lake area.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and are staying in Zaros or nearby, you can walk to Zaros Lake. From the village center, head towards the waterworks, which is about a 20-minute walk. Follow the path leading to the lake; it's surrounded by beautiful scenery, making it a pleasant trek.
