From Katerini, head to the Katerini bus station (Σταθμός ΚΤΕΛ Κατερίνης) located on the main road. Look for buses heading towards Litochoro. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest departures. Upon arrival in Litochoro, you will be at the main bus station.

Walk
From the Litochoro bus station, exit the station and turn left onto the main street (Epar.Od. Litochorou). Continue walking straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass through the town, and as you get closer to the base of Mount Olympus, look for signs directing you towards the Old Holy Monastery of Saint Dionysios of Olympus. The path will lead you uphill and may be steep in some sections.

Once you reach the base of the mountain, follow the marked hiking trails leading to the monastery. The hike will be approximately 3 kilometers and should take about 1 hour. The path is well-maintained, but wear comfortable shoes as it can be rocky. Enjoy the scenic views as you ascend.
