Discover more about Beaucette Marina

Beaucette Marina offers a unique blend of natural beauty and maritime history. Once a bustling granite quarry in the 19th century, it supplied materials for projects like the steps of St. Paul's Cathedral in London. By the mid-20th century, quarrying operations ceased, and the site gradually filled with water. In the late 1960s, Vale Investments recognized the potential of the flooded quarry and envisioned a marina. In July 1968, they enlisted the Royal Engineers to breach the quarry wall and create an entrance to the sea. The initial estimate was overly optimistic, and the project took seven months and cost significantly more than anticipated. Despite the challenges, Beaucette Marina was successfully created. Today, Beaucette Marina provides 115 berths and up to 45 visitor berths for yachts and motorboats up to 60 feet long. The marina boasts a full-service marina, a restaurant, and a peaceful atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the neighboring islands and explore the surrounding coastal paths and beaches.
