Getting There

  • Public Transport - Metro

    If you are near Deák Ferenc tér, take Metro Line M1 (the yellow line) towards Vörösmarty tér. Get off at the stop 'Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út', and transfer to Metro Line M2 (the red line) towards Déli pályaudvar. Get off at 'Déli pályaudvar' station. From there, exit the metro station and walk towards the Buda Castle area.

  • Walking

    Once you exit the Déli pályaudvar metro station, head towards the castle district. Walk up the hill towards Buda Castle, following the signs. You will reach a large plaza, where you can see the castle and the surrounding area. From here, continue walking towards the entrance of the castle grounds. Hunyadi Courtyard is located within the castle area, so just follow the signs pointing to the castle courtyard.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From Deák Ferenc tér, take bus number 16 towards 'Déli pályaudvar'. Get off at the 'Déli pályaudvar' stop. From there, follow the walking directions as described above to Hunyadi Courtyard.

  • Tram

    If you are near the river, you can take Tram 2, which runs along the Pest side of the Danube. Get off at the 'Jászai Mari tér' stop and then take the funicular (cogwheel railway) up to the Buda Castle. The funicular will take you directly to the castle area. Once you are at the top, follow the signs to Hunyadi Courtyard.
