Getting There

  • Public Transport

    Start at Deák Ferenc tér, a central hub in Budapest. From Deák Ferenc tér, take the M1 metro line (yellow line) towards Vörösmarty tér. Get off at the next stop, Vörösmarty tér. Exit the station and walk towards the Danube River. You will see the iconic Chain Bridge (Széchenyi Lánchíd) ahead. Cross the bridge on foot. Once you reach the Buda side, continue straight until you reach the foot of Castle Hill.

  • Public Transport

    Once at the foot of Castle Hill, look for the funicular railway (Budavári Sikló) that takes you up to Buda Castle. Purchase a ticket at the station and board the funicular. Enjoy the scenic ride up. Once you arrive at the top, you will be at the entrance of the Buda Castle complex. From there, simply walk towards Building A, which is clearly signposted within the castle grounds.
