Getting There

    From the center of Grindavik, head east on Suðurgata street. Continue straight for about 800 meters until you reach the main road (Route 43). Turn left onto Route 43 and walk for about 300 meters. You will see a bus stop on your left. This is where you can catch a bus to Reykjavík. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance. Once you arrive in Reykjavík, disembark at Hlemmur Bus Station.

    From Grindavik, take the local bus that goes to Reykjavík. The bus will take you directly to Hlemmur Bus Station in Reykjavík. After arriving at Hlemmur, walk northeast along Laugavegur street for about 1 kilometer until you reach Suðurgata. Turn left onto Suðurgata and continue walking for another 500 meters. The National Museum of Iceland will be on your right at Suðurgata 41.

    If you prefer not to take the bus, you can call a taxi from Grindavik to Reykjavík. The taxi will take you directly to the National Museum of Iceland at Suðurgata 41.
