Getting There

  From Hengifoss Waterfall, take the main road leading back towards Egilsstaðir (Road 1). Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers. As you approach Egilsstaðir, look for signs directing you to Kaupvangur 17. Turn onto Kaupvangur and continue until you reach Camp Egilsstadir and Egilsstadastofa Visitor Center, located at Kaupvangur 17, 700 Egilsstadir. There is no entrance fee for the visitor center itself, but parking may incur costs depending on the season.

  If you are using public transportation, check the schedules for bus services heading towards Egilsstaðir from nearby towns or locations, as buses may not run frequently.
