    From Hengifoss Waterfall, head back to Route 1 (Ring Road) by taking the road leading south. Turn left onto Route 1 and continue for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route 92. Take the exit onto Route 92 towards Egilsstaðir. Continue on Route 92 for about 26 kilometers until you see signs for Stuðlagil Canyon. Follow the signs to Grund, Jökuldalsvegur, which will lead you directly to the main access point for Stuðlagil Canyon.

    From Hengifoss Waterfall, you will need to travel to Egilsstaðir first, as direct public transport to Stuðlagil Canyon is limited. Catch a bus from a nearby station heading towards Egilsstaðir. The bus ride will take around 30-45 minutes depending on the service. Once you arrive at Egilsstaðir, you can either rent a car or take a taxi to Grund, Jökuldalsvegur where the main access to Stuðlagil Canyon is located, approximately 20 kilometers away.
