Getting There

  • Car

    From Hengifoss Waterfall, get back to Road 1 (also known as the Ring Road) which is located about 15-20 minutes south of the waterfall. Head east on Road 1 towards Egilsstaðir. After approximately 18 kilometers, look for the turnoff to Road 931. Turn left onto Road 931 and continue for another 10 kilometers. You will see signs for Laugarvellir Hot Natural Pot as you approach. The final destination will be located at the coordinates 65.00568, -15.75978, which should be easily visible on your GPS or mapping application.

  • Public Transportation

    From Hengifoss Waterfall, you will need to return to Egilsstaðir by bus, as there are no direct buses to Laugarvellir. Take the bus from the nearest bus stop back to Egilsstaðir. Once in Egilsstaðir, you can either rent a car or take a taxi to Laugarvellir Hot Natural Pot. If you choose to rent a car, follow the same route as described for car travel.
