From Hveragerdi, head east on Route 1 (Ring Road) for approximately 5 km. Turn right onto Route 38 (Reykjadalur Road) and follow this road for about 3 km until you reach the parking area for the Reykjadalur hiking trail. The parking lot is well-marked. Note that there is a parking fee of approximately 700 ISK (Icelandic Króna), which you should have in cash or be prepared to pay through a mobile app.

Take a bus from Hveragerdi towards Reykjavik. Alight at the 'Reykjadalur' stop. From the bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 km to reach the starting point of the hiking trail leading to Reykjadalur Hot Spring Thermal River. The trail starts at the parking area, which you can see up the hill. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for the latest departure and arrival times.

Once you reach the parking area (either by car or after walking from the bus stop), follow the marked hiking trail towards Reykjadalur Hot Spring.
