    From any location in Kópavogur, head to the nearest bus stop. Use the bus number 5 (Green Line) towards Reykjavík. Board the bus and travel until you reach the 'Háskóli Íslands' bus stop. This journey should take about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you get off at 'Háskóli Íslands', you will see a pedestrian path leading towards Öskjuhlíð. Follow the path which is well marked and takes approximately 10 minutes to walk to Öskjuhlíð.

  • Walking

    If you are located near the coast in Kópavogur, you can take a scenic walk towards Reykjavík. Simply head north along the coastline until you reach the bridge leading into Reykjavík. Once you cross the bridge, continue straight until you reach the intersection with 'Bústaðavegur'. Turn right on 'Bústaðavegur' and walk until you reach 'Háskóli Íslands'. From there, follow the path leading up to Öskjuhlíð, which is about a 10-minute walk from the university.
