From Hallgrímskirkja, head south on Skólavörðustígur street until you reach the intersection with Laugavegur. Turn left onto Laugavegur and continue walking. When you reach the intersection with Suðurgata, turn right. Continue straight on Suðurgata, and you will find the National Museum of Iceland at Suðurgata 41, just a few blocks down on your left.
