Start your journey at the center of Sauðárkrókur, near the local bus station. Head northeast on Skagfirðingabraut street. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass a few shops and local cafes on your way. Keep an eye on the signs pointing towards Skagfirðingabraut 39. After you reach the intersection with the road leading to the coast, take a left turn. Continue walking for another 500 meters until you see a small hill on your right. The observation deck, Útsýnisstaður yfir Sauðárkrók, is located at the top of this hill, offering stunning views of the town and surrounding landscapes.

If you are renting a bicycle, start from the central area of Sauðárkrókur. Cycle northeast on Skagfirðingabraut street. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will encounter a small incline. Continue cycling until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the coast and turn left. Pedal for another 500 meters, and you will see the path leading up to Útsýnisstaður yfir Sauðárkrók on your right. Park your bicycle at the designated area and walk up the hill to enjoy the views.
