Getting There

    From Reykjavik, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading east. Continue on Route 1 until you reach the junction for Route 30. Turn left onto Route 30 and follow it until you reach the junction with Route 26. Take Route 26 south towards Hella. From Hella, turn onto Route 32 and follow it until you reach the turnoff for Route F225. This road is a highland road and requires a 4x4 vehicle. Follow F225 until reaching Landmannalaugar. The drive can take approximately 3-4 hours depending on road conditions.
