From the main road, Route 1 (Ring Road), head towards Skaftafell in Vatnajokull National Park. Follow Route 998 towards the Svartifoss parking area. Upon reaching the parking lot, there is a marked trail leading to Þjófafoss. The trail is well maintained and usually takes about 30 minutes to walk, offering stunning views along the way.
