If you are in East End, you can walk to the Old Idaho Penitentiary Site. Start by heading northeast on E Warm Springs Ave. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Old Penitentiary Rd. Turn right onto Old Penitentiary Rd and walk approximately 0.3 miles. The entrance to the Old Idaho Penitentiary Site will be on your left at 2445 Old Penitentiary Rd. The entire walk should take around 15-20 minutes.

To reach the Old Idaho Penitentiary Site using public transit, find the nearest bus stop for ValleyRide. You can take Route 3 (the Green Line) from a nearby stop in East End. Ride the bus towards the Boise Depot. Disembark at the stop near the intersection of Warm Springs Ave and Old Penitentiary Rd.
