If you are close to the Old Idaho Penitentiary Site, begin your walk by heading east on E Warm Springs Ave. Continue on Warm Springs Ave for about half a mile until you reach the intersection with Old Penitentiary Rd. Turn left onto Old Penitentiary Rd and follow it for approximately 0.3 miles. The Old Idaho Penitentiary Site will be on your right at 2445 Old Penitentiary Rd. The walk should take around 15-20 minutes depending on your pace.

You can take the Valley Regional Transit bus service. Check the local bus schedule for routes that service the East End area. Look for Route 3 which will take you towards the Boise area. Board the bus at a nearby stop and ride until you reach the closest stop to the Old Idaho Penitentiary Site. You may need to walk a short distance from the bus stop to the site. The bus fare is approximately $1.50 for a one-way trip.
