    From Palatine Metra Station, board the Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Disembark at the Ogilvie Transportation Center. Once you exit the station, head towards the entrance on Madison Street.

    From the Palatine Metra Station, walk to the bus stop located at the station. Take the Pace bus Route 655 towards the Village of Schaumburg. Ride for about 20 minutes until you reach the bus stop at Woodfield Mall. Transfer to Pace bus Route 208 towards the Rosemont 'L' Station. Ride for about 40 minutes and get off at the stop closest to the intersection of Lake Shore Drive and Chicago Avenue. From there, walk a few blocks east to reach the International Museum of Surgical Science.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike at a local bike-sharing station in Palatine. Follow the bike paths toward the northwest to connect to the Des Plaines River Trail. Continue on the trail until you reach the North Branch Trail. This route will take you through scenic areas and eventually lead you towards downtown Chicago.
