Getting There

• Public Bus

  To reach Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum and Gardens by public bus from downtown Rockford, start by locating the Rockford Mass Transit District (RMTD) bus stop at City Hall or the nearest bus station. Board the RMTD Route 9 bus heading towards the East Side. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes until you reach the stop at Kent Street and 5th Avenue. From there, walk south on Kent Street for approximately 5 minutes to arrive at Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum and Gardens located at 411 Kent St. The museum should be on your left.

  If you're cycling in Rockford, begin at the Riverwalk along the Rock River. Head south until you reach the intersection of East State Street and N 2nd Street. Turn left onto East State Street and continue for about 1 mile. When you reach the intersection with Kent Street, turn right. Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum and Gardens will be about 0.5 miles down Kent Street on your right at 411 Kent St. Make sure to follow all bicycle safety rules and use designated bike lanes where available.
