Public Transit - Bus
If you are in downtown Springfield, walk to the nearest bus stop for the Sangamon Mass Transit District (SMTD) buses. You can take Bus Route 10 (East Side) towards the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Board the bus and enjoy the ride. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop labeled 'Illinois State Fairgrounds'. From there, walk towards the Illinois Building which is located at E Sangamon Ave. The Village of Cultures is located inside the Illinois Building.

If you are near the Illinois State Capitol, you can walk to the Village of Cultures. Head east on E Capitol Ave toward S 5th St. Turn left onto S 5th St and continue until you reach E Sangamon Ave. Turn right on E Sangamon Ave, and you will see the entrance to the Illinois State Fairgrounds. The Village of Cultures is inside the Illinois Building. This walk is approximately 1.5 miles and will take around 30 minutes.
