Getting There

  • Car

    From the Visitor Center at Starved Rock State Park, head east on IL-71 E. Continue straight for about 1.5 miles. Turn right onto IL-178 S and follow for approximately 1 mile. Turn left onto E 16th Rd and continue for about half a mile. The campground will be on your right at Starved Rock Camp Ground, Utica Township, IL 61372.

    If you are near the trails in Starved Rock State Park, you can walk to the campground. Start at the Starved Rock Lodge and head south along the trails. Follow the designated paths until you reach the main road (IL-71). Cross to the other side and head east on IL-71 E for about 1 mile until you reach the campground entrance on your right.
