    If you are driving from Shillong, take the NH6 towards Jowai. After about 40 km, you will reach the town of Jowai. From Jowai, continue on the NH6 for another 20 km until you reach Nongnah village. Look for the signboard indicating Mawtynhiang Cave. The cave is located at 784C+RVW, Nongnah, Meghalaya 793106. There is a small parking area nearby where you can leave your vehicle.

  • Public Transportation

    From Shillong, you can take a shared taxi or a bus to Jowai. Shared taxis are available from the Police Bazaar area in Shillong and usually cost around INR 150-200 per person. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Jowai, you can hire a local taxi or auto-rickshaw to take you to Nongnah village. The local taxi may cost around INR 500-700 for the trip, which is approximately 20 km. Ensure you inform the driver that you are going to Mawtynhiang Cave, and they will know the location.
