Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Shillong, take the NH6 towards Sohra (Cherrapunji). The distance is approximately 54 km and will take around 2 hours depending on traffic. Continue on NH6 until you reach the junction for Sohra. Turn left onto the road to Sohra and follow the signs. Once in Sohra, continue towards Khangmasi, Maraikaphon. The Riatnohkhlieh View Point is located near this area. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for hilly terrain as the roads can be steep and winding.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Riatnohkhlieh View Point using public transport, start by taking a shared taxi or bus from Shillong to Sohra (Cherrapunji). Shared taxis are available at various points in Shillong, such as Police Bazaar, and the fare is typically around ₹100-150 per person. The journey will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Sohra, you can hire a local taxi or auto-rickshaw to take you to Khangmasi, Maraikaphon, where the Riatnohkhlieh View Point is located. The local taxi fare may cost around ₹300-500 depending on negotiation.

  After arriving in Sohra, you can also consider renting a bike or scooter for a more adventurous approach. Many rental shops are available near the market area in Sohra.
