Take exit 8 for 159th St and turn left onto 159th St. Continue for about 1 mile, then turn right onto N Hunter St. The Thornton Historical Society Museum will be on your left at 114 N Hunter St, Thornton, IL 60476.

Start at the South Shore Line train station in Michigan City, IN. Take the train towards Chicago, and get off at the South Bend station. From there, transfer to the Metra Electric Line towards University Park. Get off at the Thornton station. Once you arrive at the Thornton station, you can either walk or take a local bus (check the schedules for the Thornton Bus Line) to get to 114 N Hunter St. The museum is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
