To reach Gunung Bintan Besar by car, start your journey in Tanjung Pinang, the capital of Bintan Regency. From Tanjung Pinang, drive towards Jalan Raya Tanjung Uban and follow the signs directing you towards Gunung Bintan. The drive should take approximately 1 hour, covering around 30 kilometers. Make sure to keep your GPS handy, as the roads can be winding. Once you reach Bintan Buyu, you will see signs directing you to the trailhead of Gunung Bintan Besar.

If you prefer public transportation, start at the Tanjung Pinang bus terminal. Take a bus heading towards Bintan Buyu. The bus ride will take around 1-1.5 hours, depending on traffic and stops along the way. Once you arrive at Bintan Buyu, you may need to hire a local taxi or ojek (motorcycle taxi) to take you to the trailhead.
