Getting There

• Car

  From the center of Loess Hills, head northeast on the main road towards I-29. Merge onto I-29 N and continue for approximately 10 miles. Take exit 53 toward US-6 E/Council Bluffs. Merge onto US-6 E and continue for about 2 miles. Turn right onto S 24th St, then take the first left onto Monument Rd. Continue straight for about 1 mile, and you will see Lewis and Clark Park on your right at 19962 Monument Rd, Council Bluffs, IA 51503.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take the local bus service that operates within Loess Hills towards Council Bluffs. You may need to check the local transit schedule for the specific route, but generally, the bus will head towards downtown Council Bluffs. Once you arrive at Council Bluffs, transfer to Route 5, which will take you closer to 24th St. After disembarking, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles northeast on 24th St, then turn left onto Monument Rd. Continue for about 1 mile, and you will arrive at Lewis and Clark Park.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can start from the Loess Hills area and follow the designated bike paths towards Council Bluffs. Head towards I-29 and find the bike lanes that connect to S 24th St. Once on S 24th St, ride north until you reach Monument Rd. Turn left onto Monument Rd and continue for about 1 mile. Lewis and Clark Park will be on your right at 19962 Monument Rd, Council Bluffs, IA 51503.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby and prefer to walk, start at your accommodation in Loess Hills. Walk towards the nearest main road leading to Council Bluffs. You will need to navigate through local streets to reach S 24th St. Once you reach S 24th St, head north until you reach Monument Rd. Turn left onto Monument Rd and continue for about 1 mile.
