Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Imam Hussein Shrine, exit the shrine complex and head east toward the main road, Bab al-Qibla Street. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Al-Baqi Street. Turn left onto Al-Baqi Street and walk for about 500 meters. You will see Al-Markazeiah Square on your right, which is a large public space often bustling with activity and local vendors.

    From Al-Askari Mosque, exit the mosque area and proceed south on Al-Askari Street. Walk straight for approximately 700 meters until you reach the Tigris River.
