Getting There

  • Public Transport

    To reach Farmleigh House & Estate via public transport from Dublin City Centre, take Dublin Bus number 37. The bus can be boarded from various stops in the city center. Alight at the Castleknock Gate stop. From there, enter Phoenix Park and walk along the narrow pedestrian pathway to the right of the field. Continue until you reach a road, turn right, and the gates of Farmleigh will be a short distance away. The walk from the bus stop to Farmleigh is approximately 15 minutes. A single adult fare is approximately €2.00 cash or €1.50 with a Leap Card.

  • Driving

    When driving to Farmleigh, please note that standard SatNav or Google Maps directions may not be accurate within Phoenix Park. Instead, use the coordinates 53.3661, -6.3516. From Dublin City Centre, enter Phoenix Park via the Parkgate Street entrance near Heuston Station. Follow Chesterfield Avenue for about 3.6km until the third roundabout. Take the first exit, then turn right onto White's Road. The entrance to Farmleigh will be approximately 500 meters ahead. Free parking is available on-site, a five-minute walk from the House. Note that cars cannot access Farmleigh via White's Road from College Road/Carpenterstown Road.

    Taxis are readily available throughout Dublin. A taxi from Dublin city center to Farmleigh House & Estate will cost approximately €11-€16 and take about 6 minutes. Taxi fares are metered and regulated by the National Transport Authority. The fare is calculated based on distance and time, with an initial charge of €4.40. Additional charges may apply for extra passengers or advance bookings.
