The tomb is located a short distance off the road, and you can follow local paths to reach it directly. Be prepared for potentially uneven terrain.

Public Transport
To reach Rathlacken Court Tomb by public transport, take a bus from Ballina to Lacken. Bus Éireann operates routes to this area. From Ballina, you can take the Route 445 bus towards Ballycastle, which stops at Lacken Cross. Alternatively, TFI Local Link Mayo also provides services to Carrowmore Lacken, some of which require pre-booking. Once you arrive in Lacken, you will need to walk approximately 2 km to reach the tomb. Follow the signs towards Carrowmore Lacken from the village center. Be sure to check the bus timetable for return services as they may be limited, especially on weekends.

Driving
If you're driving from Ballina, head north on the R314 through Killala. After Palmerstown Bridge, take the first right, and after 6 kilometers, turn left at the crossroads approximately 1 kilometer before Rathlackan. After just over 1 kilometer, there will be a track on your right; the tomb is about 150 meters down this track on your left. There is limited parking available nearby.
