Make your way to the nearest LuAS stop. If you are near the red line, take the tram towards 'The Point'. Transfer at 'O'Connell/Abbey St' and switch to the green line towards 'Brides Glen'. Get off at 'Ranelagh' and walk towards the nearest bus stop to catch Bus number 25 or 25a towards 'Nangor Road'. Get off at 'Island Bridge' and follow the same walking directions to the gardens.

If you are near the Phoenix Park, it's an easy walk. Head southeast towards the entrance of the park, then follow the path until you reach the River Liffey. Cross the river via the nearest bridge, and turn left. Walk along the riverbank, and soon you will see the entrance to the Irish National War Memorial Gardens on your right.
