Walking

If you are feeling adventurous and want to hike to the Gap of Dunloe, start from the center of Tralee. Head west towards Denny Street and continue until you reach the junction with Castle Street. Turn left onto Castle Street and follow it until you reach the R558 road. This route will take you through scenic countryside but is approximately 12 miles long and will take several hours to walk. You may wish to prepare for a long trek with plenty of water and snacks.

For a more direct route, you can hail a taxi from anywhere in Tralee. Simply ask the driver to take you to the Gap of Dunloe.
