Car
From Aosta, take the A5 highway towards Courmayeur. After approximately 70 km, exit at 'Courmayeur' and follow the signs to the Mont Blanc Tunnel. Once you reach the tunnel, cross into France and continue to Chamonix. From there, follow the signs towards the train station where you can park your car. Note that parking in Chamonix may incur costs. After parking, take the Montenvers train to the Mer de Glace, which offers stunning views and leads to the hiking trails towards Stellisee.

From Aosta, take a regional train to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. The journey takes about 2 hours. Upon arriving in Chamonix, head to the Montenvers train station (approximately a 15-minute walk from the train station). Purchase a ticket for the Montenvers train, which will take you to the Mer de Glace. From there, you can begin your hike towards Stellisee, enjoying the breathtaking views along the way. Be sure to check the train schedule for return trips.
