Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Aosta. Head east on the A5 motorway towards Courmayeur. Take the exit for Morgex and follow the signs to La Salle and then to Courmayeur. Continue towards the Mont Blanc Tunnel. Upon reaching the town of Chamonix, follow the signs to Zermatt. Please note that Zermatt is a car-free village, so you will need to park your car at the designated parking area in Täsch, the last point accessible by car. The parking fees vary, typically around €15 per day. From Täsch, take the shuttle train to Zermatt, which takes approximately 12 minutes.

  • Public Transportation

    For those relying on public transportation, take a train from Aosta to Zermatt. First, you will need to take a train from Aosta to Chivasso, then transfer to a train heading to Brig. From Brig, take the train to Zermatt. This journey may take approximately 3-4 hours depending on connections. Once you arrive in Zermatt, walk to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise station where you can take the funicular to Sunnegga. The cost for the funicular ride is around CHF 12 for a single trip.
