From the central Piazza del Comune, head northeast towards the Via San Rufino. Continue straight for about 300 meters, and you will arrive at Piazza San Rufino, where the Cathedral of San Rufino is located. The cathedral will be on your right.

If you are at the Basilica di San Francesco, exit the basilica and walk towards the main road, Via Frate Elia. Turn right and follow the road uphill for about 800 meters. Continue straight until you reach Piazza San Rufino; the cathedral is on your left as you enter the square.

From the Assisi train station, walk to the bus stop (Stazione FS) and take the local bus to the center of Assisi (Piazza Matteotti). Once you arrive, exit the bus and walk towards Piazza del Comune. From there, follow the walking directions to Piazza San Rufino as described above.
