Getting There

  • Walking

If you are in the heart of Città Alta, head towards the main square, Piazza Vecchia. From there, take Via Bartolomeo Colleoni, which leads you into the historic center. Continue walking until you reach the end of the street, where you will see a set of stairs leading up to Rocca di Bergamo. Follow the path up the stairs, and you will arrive at the entrance to the Rocca in about 10-15 minutes.

  • Funicular

If you are further down in Città Alta, you can take the funicular from Viale Vittorio Emanuele II to the upper part of Città Alta. From the funicular station at the top, exit and walk along Via Gombito. Follow the road as it curves and leads you towards the Rocca. This journey takes about 5 minutes on the funicular, plus another 10 minutes of walking.
