Train
To reach Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe in Bergamo from Milan, take the train from Milano Centrale station to Bergamo. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Bergamo train station, exit the station and look for the bus stop. Take bus number 1 or 1A towards 'Città Alta' (Upper Town). Get off at 'Piazza della Libertà'. From there, head towards 'Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe', which is about a 10-minute walk. Follow the signs directing you to 'Città Alta'.
